Order Management System in Samokat is a back office product that offers the purchasing department a wide range of tools from creating supplier contracts and placing orders to order tracking, assortment management, and forecast analysis. Backed with ML technologies, complex mathematical calculations, and a flexible and rich user interface the Order Management System is a very powerful instrument for the procurement process in Samokat.
As a product designer, I was responsible for the whole design process within the product team from defining problems and communicating with stakeholders to feature delivery and procuring feedback, upon which improvements begin. Working together with our analysts, engineers and listening to our users, we aimed to deliver high quality solutions that in the long run could benefit both users and the business.
During 19 months of work I was improving the product’s design, targeting user and business metrics, while keeping in mind the system’s scalability and UX principles. I additionally initiated a few activities for our design community, developed several solutions to boost our design work, participated in creating a design system and took part in creating and launching an MVP.
